Keene State College

Sophomore thrower looking to improve his marks and extend his season this year....will compete indoors in the weight throw and outdoors in the hammer...hopes to qualify for the New England Division III and ECAC Championships this year.

As a freshman:  Placed fifth in the weight throw (13.75m) at LEC indoor championships...top mark in the hammer (42.28m) was posted with his fourth-place finish at the Jim Sheehan Invitaional...finisehd fourth in the hammer (40.34m) at LEC meet.

Before KSC: Came to Keene State from Classical High School where he was one of the school''s top throwers and ranked in the top-15 in the state both indoors and outdoors...a three-time copetitor at the National Indoor Championship...also went to the outdoor national championships as a junior and senior...PR in the weight throw was 58-feet...PR in the hammer was 172 feet...was a four-year member of school''s football team, playing offensive line...comes from a family of throwers and coaches, father (Robert) has been the throwing coach at Classical for over 20 years...older brothers Richard and Nick competed at Rhode Island College, Nick is now the throwing coach for the Anchormen...older brother Ray did track and football at Fitchburg State...younger brother Joey is a thrower at Classical High...Robert is a computer sciecne major.
