Biography
Hard working and motivated junior swimmer looking to earn his first berth to the NCAA Championships this year…excels in multiple events including the backstroke and I.M. races...set the school record in the 100 IM (53.27).
As a sophomore: Shined once again at the NEISDA Championships…posted individual wins in the 100 back and 100 I.M. and was second in the 200 back…was also a member of the winning 200 and 400 medley relay teams.
As a freshman: Acclimated well to Keene State during first season with the team…posted wins in the 100 back and 200 I.M. in a dual meet against Springfield and Wheaton, and swam to a first-place finish in the 100 back against Tufts…had an outstanding meet at NEISDA Championships, winning the 100 back, 100 IM, and as a member of winning 200 medley relay…also took second in the 200 IM.
Before KSC: Florida native who comes to Keene State from St. Cloud (Fla.) High where he a three-time captain….placed fourth in the 100-back at the FHSAA Class 2A championship…trained by aunt Lou (Randall) Abbot, traveling to Sweden, where at the age of 12, he finished third and earned a medal in the 50 backstroke at the Sweden Games…came to KSC after spending a year at Valencia Community College, where he earned an associate’s degree…his parents attended Keene High School, class of ’82…Randy is majoring in mathematics.
