Biography
Hard-working junior thrower looking forward to a productive season…will compete during the indoor season in shot put and weight throw events…primary event will be the discus in the outdoor season.
As a sophomore: Outdoors: improved her own school record in the discus, with her toss of 38.24 meters and a fourth place finish to lead the Owls at New England Division III Championships hosted by Colby…placed sixth in the hammer (38.81m) at the Jim Sheehan Invitational….won discus event with a throw of 35.71-meters. Indoors: placed seventh (11.43m) in the weight throw at LEC Championships.
As a freshman: Indoors: placed eighth in the shot (9.49m) at the LEC Meet…posted a mark of 10.43m in the weight throw at LEC championship…Outdoors: finished third in the discus (36.13m) at LECs…also had a mark of 32.59m in the hammer at the meet.
Before KSC: Qualified for New England Championships in discus her senior year at Exeter (N.H.) High School…outdoor track captain and National Scholar Athlete award winner…Samantha is majoring in psychology.
