Keene State College

Sophomore runner expected to challenge for the top spot in the Owls’ cross country pack this fall….will alos be a top competitor for Keene State in distance events on the track.

2012-13:  Cross Country: Got off to a strong start, finishing third (19:27)  at the KSC Invitational before missing the rest of the season with an injury…Track: Had a great day at LEC championships, winning the 3K (10:52.52), placing third in the mile (5:18.18) and running a leg of the winning 4x800 relay (9:56.23)…qualified for New England Division III meet, placing 17th in the 3K (10:42.01) and running in the 4x800 relay….also qualified for open-New England Championships. Outdoors:  Finished third in the 5K (19:07.97) at LEC Championships.

Before KSC:  Joined Keene State running program after a fine four-year career at Pinkerton (N.H.) Academy…won the Coach’s Award Cross Country 2012, NHIAA Scholar Athlete, and Merrimack Valley Striders Scholarship winner 2012...team captain her junior and senior years...Samantha plans to major in elementary education.
