A former freshman goalie for the Owls, Victoria Tarabelli willcontinue serving as a student assistant coach with the Keene Statewomen’s soccer team. 

“It’s a real honor to be working as a studentassistant coach with the team,” said Tarabelli, a junior atKSC.  “I would have liked to continue playing, but theconcussions I suffered didn’t allow me to do that.  SoI’m really pleased that Coach (Denise) Lyons gave me thisopportunity.  I’m an exercise science major and want tofollow in my father’s footsteps and become a coach, soI’m really excited to begin working toward thatgoal.”

A take-charge keeper during her brief Owl career, Tarabelli cameto Keene State from Needham High where she was the starting goaliefor the Rockets in her final three seasons. She posted aleague-best 0.47 GAA with eight shutouts leading Needham to theBaystate League title and a berth in the South Sectional statetournament as a senior. A two-time Baystate League All-Star,Tarabelli  was also the starting goalie for the Rockets’lacrosse team as a junior and played club soccer for the NewEngland Eagles Futbol Club. 

Soccer runs in the Tarabelli family.  Her father Carl is aformer captain of the Boston University men’s soccer team andis the head coach of the girls’ varsity soccer team atNeedham High. He also runs the Soccer Dynamics soccer camps duringthe summer. Victoria’s older sisters Angela and Kate alsoplayed soccer at Needham High. Angela went on to play two seasonsat NYU.
