Dr. Jeff Timmer was announced as the first ever head coach in school history in November of 2021.
It did not take long for the Owls to emerge onto the conference seen, with the men's team moving up to a second place finish (a four-spot improvement) in the Little East Conference in just the program's second season in 2023. Timmer has helped instruct consecutive conference rookies of the year, as Caden Capaldo won the award in 2022 and Sean Bonneau in 2023.
A long-time member of the KSC Department of Human Performance and Movement Science, Timmer has taught classes in golf since 2002. He was a four year golfer at Calvin College (Grand Rapids, Mich.), where he was an All-Conference honoree his final three seasons. He also played four years of baseball and two years of basketball for the Knights, earning All-Conference honors in baseball as a shortstop and pitcher. He has also served as Keene State's Faculty Athletic Representative since 2012.
