The Owls of Keene State continued their strong play in the Little East Conference as they breezed by the Bears of Bridgewater State 3-0 from BSC*s Swenson Field in Bridgewater, Mass.
Once again Keene State was led by the solid play of senior sensations Kelly Smith (Lisbon, NH) and Carrie Trudeau (Saco, ME). Trudeau notched her 10th and I1th goals of the year and Smith picked up a couple of assists on the afternoon, as the duo continue to remain among the top scorers in the Little East Conference. With her two assists, Smith became the Owls all-time career assist leader with 34.
Líndsay Hamilton (Brattleboro, VT) and Amy Carroll (Brunswick, ME) combined on the shutout as the Owls have now gone three straight games without allowing a goal.
Keene State is back in action on Thursday as they play host to NESCAC power Middlebury College in non-conference play. Bridgewater State is off until Saturday as they are home to face the ist place Panthers of Plymouth State in a critical Little East Conference match-up.
