Keene State field hockey defeats Salem State, 2-1, in OT Salem, MA - The Keene State College field hockey team received two goals from senior forward Carrie Trudeau, including the game winner 8:16 into overtime, en route to a 2-1 victory over Little East Conference opponent Salem State College Monday evening at Alumni Field.
Trudeau's first goal came at 17:53 of the opening half after Salem State sophomore defender Jessica Horne scored unassisted just 4:51 into the match. Trudeau netted her 13th and 14th goals of the season.
Keene junior goaltender Lindsey Hamilton made four saves. Salem State freshman goaltender Emily King stopped five shots.
Keene State, which won its sixth straight match and ninth out of its last 10, improved to 11-2 overall and 6-1 in the LEC. Salem State dropped to 4-8 overall and 2-5 in the LEC.
Salem's next match will be Wednesday, Oct. 11. at UMass Lowell at 4:00 pm. Keene's next match will be Wednesday, Oct. 11 at New England College at 4:00 pm.
