KEENE, N.H. 9/28/00 - Carrie Trudeau (Saco, Maine) scored a career-high three goals to lead Keene State College to a 7-0 Little East Conference field hockey victory over Framingham State College Thursday at Owl Stadium Complex.
Trudeau now has eight goals this season.
Keene State improves to 6-2 (2-1 LEC). Framingham State falls to 3-7 (0-4 LEC). It was the first meeting between the two teams since the 1985 season.
The Owls controlled play from the start. Trudeau scored two of her goals in the first half as KSC took a 4-0 lead at the break.
Ally Huetz (So. Burlington, Vt.), Tanya Strong (Hatfield, Mass.), Kelly Smith (Lisbon, N.H.), and Kate Barnowski (Granville, Mass.) also scored for KSC. It was Barnowski's first collegiate goal.
Keene State outshot the Rams 28-2.
Lindsay Hamilton (Brattleboro, Vt.) and Amy Carroll (Brunswick, Me.) didn't register a save playing a half each in goal.
Keene State extended its home winning streak to 30 games with the win. Twenty-two of those wins have been shutouts.
Megan Johnson stopped seven shots for Framingham State.
Keene State will host LEC foe Eastern Conn. on Saturday at 1 p.m. Framingham State hosts MASCAC rival Westfield State.
