KEENE, N.H. 10/10/01- Laura Buffa (Wolfeboro, NH) scored the tying goal in the 70th minute of play and the game winner 6:37 into overtime to give New England College a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over host Keene State on Wednesday.

Keene State falls to 7-8. New England College goes to 6-7. Buffa scored the tying goal on the Pilgrim's second penalty corner attempt with no time remaining on the clock. The winner was scored on a 3-1 breakout with Erica Neily (Canaan, NH) feeding Buffa with a crossing pass.

Keene State took an early 1-0 lead on Annie Timson's (Derry, NH) seventh goal of the season. Kaitlyn Henley (Somers, NY) had an assists on the play.

The Pilgrims came alive in the second half. Lindsay Hamilton (Brattleboro, Vt) made a stop of a penalty shot by Nicole Richardson (Lancaster, NH) midway in the half. But the owls couldn't hold off the Pilgrims.

Amy Carroll (Brunswick, Me.) played the first half and made two saves. Hamilton stopped 11 shots in the second half. Krista Milroy finished the game with 10 saves for NEC.

Keene State will be at Worcester State on Saturday (12 p.m.).
