WORCESTER, MA. 10/13/01- Amanda Olson's goal at the 7:42 mark of
overtime gave host Worcester State a 1-0 Little East Conference
field hockey victory over Keene State on Saturday.
It was the second consecutive overtime loss for KSC (7-9, 5-3
LEC). Worcester State (12-4, 6-3 LEC) extended its winning streak
to six games.
The Owls had several strong scoring opportunities, but could not
get the ball past the Lancer's Katie Desimone who finished with
nine saves.
Lindsay Hamilton (Brattleboro, Vt.) had another strong game in
goal for the Owls with 15 saves.
'It's the third straight game that we played well,' said KSC
Coach Amy Watson. 'But we're struggling.'
KSC hopes to get back on the winning track when it hosts
nationally ranked RPI (6 p.m.) on Tuesday.
