PROVIDENCE, RI (10/2/01)- The Keene State College women's volleyball team won its fifth consecutive match and posted its first Little East Conference victory of the season with a 3-1 win over R.I. College in Providence, R.I. on Tuesday.

After splitting the first two games 30-23 and 25-30, the Owls prevailed 30-27 and 30-24 to win the four game match.

Deb Hughes (Ashland, NH) led the Owls with 16 kills. Outside hitter Kristen Mullins (Turners Falls, MA.) added 11 kills and 26 digs and setter Adienne Deschnow (Meriden, Conn). finished with 44 assists.

The Owls are off until next Tuesday when they host Green Mountain College (6 p.m.).
