'HENNIKER N.H. 10/15/02 - The Keene State College field hockey
team dropped a tough 2-1 non-conference game to New England College
on the road in Henniker on Tuesday.
Keene State saw its record dip to 9-6 with the loss.
Annie Timson (Derry, N.H.) gave the Owls a quick 1-0 lead, but
the Pilgrims came back to tie the game 1-1 on a penalty stroke
latter in the half.
NEC got the game-winner 10 minutes into the second half. The
Owls dominated play the rest of the way but could not come up with
the equalizer.
Amy Carroll (Brunswick, Me.) finished the game with 10 saves.
KSC returns home to face Worcester State in a key LEC/Alliance
game on Saturday (1:30 p.m.).
