KEENE, N.H. 2/12/02 - Jenn Pelletier (Dery, N.H.) had a game
high 20 points and Heather Adey (Nashua, N.H.) finished with 15
points and 12 rebounds to lead the Plymouth State women's
basketball team to a 75-66 Little East Conference victory over host
Keene State College on Tuesday.
The victory clinches third place in the LEC standings for the
Panthers, who improve to 15-7 (8-5 LEC). The Owls (14-9, 7-6 LEC)
will enter the LEC Tournament as the fourth seed.
Erika Forsberg (Laconia, NH) led KSC with 16 points and seven
rebounds while Sarah Linn (Brattleboro, Vt.) and Aly Araque
(Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) finished with 12 points each. Both
seniors, Forsberg and Linn were playing their final home
regular-season game at Spaulding Gym, and were honored prior to the
contest.
With PSC holding a slim 61-60 lead, the Panthers outscored the
Owls 14-6 in the final six minutes of the game to post the win.
Courtney Albert (Hudson, NH) and Adey had a couple of baskets each
and Pelletier netted a key three-pointer during that stretch.
Keene State wraps up its regular season on the road at
UMA-Dartmouth on Saturday (1 p.m.). PSC will host Eastern Nazarene
College on Thursday (6 p.m.).
