'KEENE, N.H.  9/21/02-  The Keene State College field hockey shutout Fitchburg State 2-0  to post its first Little East Conference/Alliance victory of the season, Saturday in Fitchburg, MA.

Annie Timson (Derry, N.H.) with an assists from Michelle McInerney (Auburn, ME) gave KSC a 1-0 halftime lead.  Kaitlyn Henley (Somers, CT) with an assists from Tanya Strong (Hatfield, MA.) scored the Owls' second goal.  It was Henley's team-leading fifth goal of the season.

Amy Carroll (Brunswick, ME) tuned away two shots to record her second shutout of the season.  Christina Charron (two saves) and Angela Buffington (five saves) shared goaltending chores for the Falcons.

It was the second straight win for Keene State (4-2, 1-0 LEC).  FSC goes to 2-3, 0-1 LEC.

Keene State hosts Framingham State on Tuesday (6 p.m.).
