'KEENE, N.H. (9/23/02)- The Keene State College
women's volleyball team swept a three game match against
Colby-Sawyer College Monday at Spaulding Gym.
The match scores were 30-25, 30-20, and 30-28. With the
scored tied 28-28 in the third game, KSC got a point of a service
error and got the winning point following a serve by freshman
Shelly Ellis (Hampton, N.H.).
It was the first Owl (2-3) win over Chargers (4-6) in three
meetings.
Ellis had 11 kills, 11 digs, and two blocks to lead KSC.
Stacey Kroon (Bryantville, MA.) had a fine overall game with 12
kills and 11 digs. Abbe Robichaud (Gilford, N.H.) had a
team-high 19 digs and setter Adrienne Deschnow (Meriden, CT)
finished with 40 set assists, and 12 digs.
Winners of two straight matches, Keene State will play next at
the Russell Sage Tournament in New York on Saturday.
