'WESTFIELD, Mass. 10/22/03 - The Keene State Owls edged the Westfield State Owls, 1-0, in field hockey action on Wednesday in Westfield, Mass.

KSC improved to 12-5 overall and 8-0 in the Little East Conference. Westfield is 3-11 overall and 2-6 in the LEC.

Junior Kaitlin Henley (Somers, NY) scored the game-winning goal off a penalty corner. KSC outshot Westfield, 28-2, including a 19-0 margin in the second half.

KSC goalie Catlin Baril finished with two saves, while Westfield goalie Kendra Newell made 11 saves.

KSC hosts UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday (12:30 p.m.).
