'KEENE, N.H.  - 10/29/03- The Keene State College women's volleyball team completed its home schedule with a hard-fought 3-2 loss to Connecticut College Wednesday night at Spaulding Gym.

The match scores were 30-22, 27-30, 30-24, 24-30 and 13-15. 

Shelly Ellis (Hampton, N.H.) led the Owls with 11 kills, 18 digs and four blocks.  Genna Florkowski (East Northport, N.Y.) had eight kills, three service aces, 18 digs and two blocks while setter Lauren Graham (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) finished with three kills, 30 assists, nine service aces, and 13 digs.

Kelly Hart (Cumberland, R.I.) topped the Camels (9-14) with 15 kills and 17 digs. Cynthia Whitman also contributed 10 kills.

The loss snapped KSC's (10-15) three match winning streak. The lone senior on the team, Stephanie Benard (Tilton, N.H.) was honored prior to the match.

KSC will travel to Southern Maine on Nov. 5 for a LEC quarterfinal tournament match against the Huskies.
