'KEENE, N.H. 2/4/03 – Abi Jackson
(Jamaica Plain, MA.) had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead Williams
College to a 79-67 victory over Keene State College in a
non-conference women's basketball game played Tuesday in Keene.
It was the third straight loss for Keene State (12-8) while
Williams College improves to 14-5.
Freshman forward Stacey Morse (Lebanon, N.H.) led KSC with 16
points. Andrea Arsenault (Dover, N.H.) and Julie Tardif (Atkinson,
N.H.) finished with 13 points each. Tardif also had a
team-high eight rebounds.
Trailing 44-33 at halftime, Keene State cut the lead to five
points (64-59) on a basket by Morse with 6:39 to play. The Owls got
no closer as the Ephs extended their lead to 13 points (76-63) with
3:50 left to play.
Kate Stumpo (Walpole, MA.) and Colleen Hession (Northampton,
MA.) also added 15 points each for Williams.
The Owls struggled behind the three-point line (4-for-17) and
from the line (11-for-21). .
Keene State returns to LEC play on Saturday at R.I. College (1
p.m.).
