'FORT MYERS, FLA. 3/21/03 – The Keene State College
softball team edged New England College 3-1 in a game played Friday
in Fort Myers, Fla.
New England College is coached by former Owl standout Carrah
Fisk.
Sophomore Meghan McLoughlin (Brattleboro, Vt.) tossed a
complete game four-hitter to notch her second win of the
season. She had three strikeouts and four walks.
The Owls went ahead 2-0 in the second inning. Nicole Foote
(Hudson, N.H.) knocked in Caroline Kurkowski (Niskayuna, N.Y.) who
had doubled. Foote moved to second on the throw and scored on Kerry
Marsh's (Plainfield, N.H.) RBI single.
KSC added another run in the fourth when Amanda Foote (Hudson,
N.H.) singled and stole second. She was sacrificed to third and
scored on a wild pitch.
Keene State (8-2) wraps up its spring week trip when its plays
Suffolk University on Saturday.
