'WILLIMANTIC, CT – Sandra Pariseau (STRATFORD) drove
in Megan Lemos (GRANBY) with an infield single with two outs in the
sixth inning to
give the Eastern Connecticut State University softball team a
1-0 Little East Conference win over Keene State College Wednesday
at Howard Spector
Field on the way to a split of a doubleheader.
Keene (13-6, 3-3 little east), ranked sixth in New
England, gained a split when Nicole Foote drove in Adria Reynolds
from third base with the

inning of the nightcap. Eastern is ranked ninth in New England.

run in lowering her ERA to 1.59. She fanned a collegiate-high
ten in the opener with one walk. She struck out two without a
walk in the nightcap but

Keene third baseman Jennifer Norman. Lemos
scored easily as Schofield managed to avoid the tag of Keene
shortstop Shauna Mullen at third. Pariseau had two of Eastern's
three hits in the game.

the fifth and sixth innings before Keene broke through for an
unearned run in the seventh.Reynolds reached on an infield
error to open the inning, was sacrificed to second by Mullen and
moved to third on a ground out. Foote ended the game by stroking a
1-0 pitch cleanly into center field as Reynolds scored standing up.
