'KEENE, N.H. 9/19/03 - Plymouth State University and
Western Connecticut State University posted three game victories in
Little East Conference women's volleyball round robin matches at
Keene State's Spaulding Gym on Friday night.
Plymouth State University defeated host Keene State 3-0. Games
scores were 30-18, 30-23, and 30-22.
Becky Landry (Nashua, N.H.) had nine kills, Carrin LaValley
(Northfield, N.H.) added nine kills and 11 digs and Sonia Trudell
(Somersworth, N.H.) finished with six kills to lead PSC (8-2).
Setter Amanda Bagwell also dished out 26 assists.
Genna Florkowski (East Northport, N.Y.) led KSC (3-3) with five
kills, three aces, 13 digs, and one block. Nicole Geyselaers
(Cornwall Bridge, Conn.) had seven kills and four blocks and Lauren
Graham (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) finished with 17 assists, two aces,
nine digs and one block.
Defending LEC champs, Western Conn. swept Southern Maine
3-0. the game scores were 30-13, 30-12- and 30-18.
Playing in just two games, Kassie Moore (Polasset, Mass.) had
eight assists, Sandy Ramos (Newington, Conn.) added 10 kills and
Lindsey Gloster (Middletown, N.Y.) finished with five kills for
WCSU (4-3).
Cassandra Hoban (Mindoro, WI) had eight kills, Mandy Dessert
(Bridgewater, N.H.) added 16 assists and five aces, and Meghan
Bristol (Fairfield, Conn.) finished with 12 digs to lead USM (5-1),
which lost its first match of the season.
