Owl Field Hockey Rolls over PSU 5-1

'KEENE, N.H. 9/27/03 - Tanya Strong (Hatfield, Mass.) had two goals and Kaitlin Henley (Somers, N.Y.) finished with a goal and two assists to lead the Keene State College field hockey team to a 5-1 Little East Conference victory over rival Plymouth State University before a Homecoming crowd at Owl Athletic Complex on Saturday.

It was the first LEC loss in over four years for the Panther who fall to 2-4 (1-1 LEC).  Keene State improves to 5-3 (3-0 LEC). KSC was the last team to defeat PSU during the streak back on Sept. 22, 2001.

KSC put the game away with three unanswered goals in the second half.  Tanya Strong scored a pair to give her a team-leading eight for the season and Henley netted her second of the season.

Michelle Codding (Jericho, Vt.) had six saves for KSC while Kerry Brady (jefferson, N.H.) had a busy day in goal for the Panthers with 30 saves.
