'TROY, N.Y.  9/27/03 - The Keene State College women's volleyball team posted a 1-1 record at this weekend's Russell Sage College Tournament played in Troy, N.Y.

Keene State (5-5) dropped a tough 3-2 match to the host team before coming back to sweep Cazenovia College 3-0 in its second match of the day.

The Owls lost to Russell Sage 28-30, 30-28, 30-21, 21-30, and 15-12.  Stacey Kroon (Bryantville, Mass.) had 14 kills and 19 digs and freshman Genna Florkowski (East Northport, N.Y.) finished with 10 kills and 20 digs to lead the Owls.

The game scores against Cazenovia were 31-29, 30-23, and 3-20. Kroon had another strong  match with 13 kills and five aces.  Setter Lauren Graham (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) had 21 assists and nine digs.

Keene State hosts LEC rival Eastern Conn. on Wednesday (6 p.m.).
