'HANOVER, N.H. 1/11/04 - Back on the track following the holiday
break, the Keene State indoor track teams competed at the 35th
annual Dartmouth Relays on Sunday.
Dave Bridgewater had the top performance for the Keene State
men's team. The junior from Unionville, Conn., placed third
in the mile with a New England All-Division and Division III
Championship qualifying time of 4:18.86.
Senior Josh Ferenc (Westmoreland, N.H.) also qualified for the
New England Division III Championships with his ninth place finish
(8:46.36) in the 3,000-meter race.
In the women's field, Laurie Yorgensen (Wethersfield, Conn.)
placed third (2:24.14) and Shannon O'Brien (Tilton, N.H.) finished
10th (2:24.58) respectively in the 800-meter event. Both were
also qualifying times for the N.E. Division III Championships.
As one of the longest running meets in the country, the
Dartmouth Relays drew nearly 3,000 competitors from New England,
New York and Canada to the Leverone Field House in Hanover.
The Owls will race next Saturday at the Tufts Invitational.
