HENNIKER,N.H. 10/12/04 - Kaitlin Henley's goal at the 20 minute
mark of the second half was the difference in Keene State College's
1-0 shutout victory over New England College in a non-conference
field hockey game played Tuesday afternoon in Henniker.
It was the second straight game-winner for Henley, who also
scored KSC's lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Southern Maine on
Saturday. She now has three goals this season.
Keene State (6-5) extended its wining streak to four games while
New England College (8-3) saw its two game winning streak come to
an end.
Both goalies were busy in the game. KSC's Sara Joyce (East
Hampstead, N.H.) had 14 saves while the Pilgrim's Jacqui Parker
(Keene, N.H.) stopped 16 shots.
Keene State will return to Owl Athletic Complex on Thursday
(6:30 p.m.) when it will christen its new turf field with a game
against Trinity College.
