BEVERLY, MASS. 11/23/04- The Keene State College men's
basketball team dropped a 76-75 non-conference game to Endicott
College on Tuesday Night. It was the first loss of the season for
the Owls (2-1) while Endicott goes to 2-1.
Sean Sullivan (Athol, Mass.) led the Owls with 23 points. David
Sontag (Mont Vernon, N.H.) finished with 18 points and six
rebounds. Freshman Erik Schlacter (Marlborough, Mass.) also added
14 points.
It was a tough loss for KSC which held the lead throughout most
of the game. The Gulls hit the winning shot with 14 seconds to
play. Keene State had a chance to pull the game out but shots by
Ben Maynard (Nobleboro, Me.) and Sullivan would not fall.
Josh Oxton (Center Harbor, N.H.) had 22 points and Matt George
(Dover, N.H.) finished with 20 points to lead Endicott.
Keene State will face New England College at the Jacob's Bridge
thru Autism Division III Challenge at New Hampshire Tech next
Tuesday.
