'HANOVER, N.H. 2/7/04  - Laurie Yorgensen turned in the best performance by the Keene State College Indoor track team at the Dartmouth Classic held Saturday at the Leverone Field House in Hanover.

Yorgensen, a junior from Wethersfield, Conn, placed second in the women's mile race with a time of 5:22.65.  Michelle Palmer of the University won the event with a time of 5:19.12.

Josh Ferenc had the top finish by the KSC men's team.  The senior from Westmoreland, N.H. placed third in the mile (4:27.14).

In other events, Dave Raymond (Princeton, Mass.) finished fourth in the 900-meters (2:01.53) and Ryan Gough (Billerica, Mass.) was fifth (2:36.79) in the 1,000-meter race.

Both KSC teams will be at Southern Maine next Saturday to compete in the Little East/Alliance Championships.
