FITCHBURG, MA. 4/22/04 - The Keene State College softball team
got back on track Thursday sweeping Fitchburg State College (6-0
and 8-0) in a non-conference doubleheader in Fitchburg, Mass.
The Owls improve to 23-7 overall, while FSC falls to
17-10.
In the first game, Adria Reynolds (Portsmouth, N.H.) and Caroline
Kurkowski (Niskayuna, N.Y.) both went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Meghan McLoughlin (Brattleboro, Vt.) scattered four hits, fanned
nine, and walked but one in the complete game victory. She is
now 10-1 on the season.
Kari Gardner (Grafton, Mass.) led the Owls with two RBIs in the
nightcap. Erin Fuoroli (Warwick, R.I.) (9-1) picked up the
complete game shutout, tossing seven innings, while allowing four
hits to go with three strikeouts
KSC will face the University of Southern Maine in a Little East
Conference doubleheader on Saturday (1 p.m.).
