KEENE, N.H. 9/21/04 - The Keene State College women's volleyball
team lost a 3-1 non-conference match to Colby-Sawyer College
Tuesday night at Spaulding Gym.
After winning the first game 30-26, the Owls dropped the next
three games by the scores of 22-30, 23-30, and 21-30.
Shelly Ellis (Hampton, N.H.) led KSC with 12 kills, three
service aces, 20 digs, and three blocks. Lauren Graham (Port
Jefferson, N.Y.) added eight kills, and 18 digs, and freshman
setter Kelly Yankowski (Turners Falls, Mass.) finished the match
with 31 assists, three service aces, and 11 digs.
Top players for CSC (8-0) included Kathy Couture (Greenfield,
Mass.) with 15 kills, Anne Coulter (Hudson, N.H.) with 10 kills and
four blocks and Ashley Lorance (Pembroke, Mass.) who had 14 kills
and three blocks.
Keene State (2-4) will play at the Russell Sage Tournament in
New York on Saturday.
