'NEW LONDON, CONN. 10/02/05 - The Keene State College volleyball
team posted an 0-2 record at this weekend's Connecticut College
quad meet in New London, Conn. The Owls dropped a tough 3-2
match to Westfield State College, before falling to Clark (Ma.)
University in three games (3-0).
After dropping the first match 25-30 to WSC, the Owls rallied to
take next two games 30-28 and 30-26. KSC took a 25-15 lead in
the third match, but could not hold on for the win falling
30-28. Westfield State took the final game 15-13.
Brittany O'Bryant (Merrimack, N.H.) had 12 kills and seven digs to
lead Keene State. Shelly Ellis (Hampton, N.H.) added seven
kills, while Caityln Hockenbury (Sunapee, N.H.) finished with six
kills.
Game scores against Clark were 30-27, 30-19, and 30-26.
Junior Lauren Graham (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) led KSC with 13
digs and four kills. Genna Florkowski (East Northport, N.Y.)
chipped in with six kills and Kelly Yankowski (Turners Falls,
Mass.) added four kills.
Keene State (6-6) returns to Little East Conference play when it
visits Rhode Island College on Tuesday (6 p.m.).
