'SALEM, MA 10/29/05- Keene State College scored three
unanswered in the second half en route to a 3-0 victory over Salem
State College in Little East Conference field hockey action in
Salem on Saturday.
Keene State (10-8, 8-2 LEC) can share the LEC regular-season
championship with Plymouth State with a win against Westfield State
on Sunday (11 a.m.). PSU lost to Framingham State 1-0 on
Saturday. Plymouth, however, would get the top seed in the
LEC Tournament based on its 5-1 win over the Owls earlier this
season.
Tiffany Underhill (Eastham, Mass.) scored KSC's first two goals
of the game on penalty corner plays. She has five goals this
season. Amanda Rosenbeck (Wilder, Vt.) had an assist on both
goals. Megan Moran (Derry, N.H.) completed the scoring with
her first goal of the season.
Sara Joyce (Hampstead, N.H.) had six saves for the Owls.
Laura Mann (Keene, N.H.) played the final 15 minutes of the game
and made one save. Christina Ferreira had 12 saves for the
Vikings who fall to 3-14 (3-8 LEC).
