'NEW LONDON, N.H. - Anne Coulter recorded 14 kills as the
Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team defeated Keene State in three
games, 30-18, 30-19, 30-24, on Tuesday night in New London.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 8-3 on the year with the win, while Keene
State falls to 5-4.
Coulter hit .360 for the match, recording 14 kills on 25
attempts with five hitting errors. Kathy Couture added eight kills
of her own, while Ashley Lorance went 5-for-7 in hitting with one
hitting error. Jessica Niebuhr had 32 assists for the Chargers, who
also got 13 digs from Amy Tarte and 11 from Lindsey Wilfore.
Shelly Ellis led the Owls with seven kills, while Kelly
Yankowski had 20 assists. Lauren Graham had eight digs to lead
Keene State defensively.
Colby-Sawyer returns to conference play on Saturday, taking on
Salve Regina and Gordon in Wenham, Mass. Keene State is off until
Sept. 28 when the Owls host Eastern Connecticut State.
