'WESTFIELD - Keene State remained unbeaten in the Little East
Conference play with a 3-1 field hockey victory over Westfield
State on Wednesday night, Oct. 18.
Ranked fourth in the New England- West Region, Keene is 9-0 in
the Little East Conference with two league games remaining and 12-4
overall. Westfield State is 8-6 overall and 4-5 in the conference.
Keene applied constant offensive pressure in taking a 2-0
half-time lead. Scoring the first-half goals were Megan Moran and
Karen Robinson. Moran scored her goal following a goalie save and
another save by a Westfield State defender.
Keene increased its lead to 3-0 with a Amanda Rosenbeck goal on
a wicked shot early in the second half.
Westfield State scored off a corner with 3:24 remaining. Senior
Kate Anderson scored with an assist by junior Megan Wolski.
Winners of four straight, the KSC Owls play at Worcester State
on Saturday (11 a.m.).
