'KEENE, N.H. 10/7/06 - Seniors Nichole Garneau (Twin Mountain, N.H.), Amanda Rosenbeck (Wilder, Vt.) and freshman Amanda Wirzbicki (Gardner, Mass.) each had a goal and an assist in Keene State College's 5-0 rout over Bridgewater State College on Saturday.

The win pushes the Owls to 9-4 on the season and 7-0 in Little East Conference play. The Bears' record drops to 4-7 overall and 4-3 within the LEC.

Keene State had numerous scoring opportunities late in the first half, but the Bears' goalkeeper Nicole Downs (Hanover, Mass.) turned each one away. With six minutes left in the half, Steph Georgevits (Concord, N.H.) had a shot blocked and saved. Karen Robinson (Barre, Mass.) also was rejected by Downs.

Garneau started the scoring melee 7:54 into the second half thanks to an assist from Wirzbicki. Just over a minute later, sophomore Alyssa Rowell (Queensbury, N.Y.) fired a shot from the edge of the circle to put the Owls up 2-0.

The Owls' assault didn't stop with the slim lead. Rosenbeck scored her ninth goal of the season off a corner just two minutes after the previous goal.

Rosenbeck followed her goal up with a pass to sophomore Kat Trimmer (Worcester, Mass.) who snuck the shot past Downs.
