'KEENE, N.H. 10/7/06 -Keene State faced off at the Tom Hay
Invitational today at Springfield College playing three games and
winning two. The Owls first match was against LEC rival
Plymouth State. The Owls won in five 22-30, 30-15, 30-27,
23-30, 15-12.
The second match was against Endicott College that they lost 3-1
(27-30, 30-28, 21-30, 14-30). Abbey Rosen had 10 kills and
Brittany O'Bryant had 9 kills, 12 digs and 6 blocks for the
Owls. Sarah Peterson chipped in 13 digs.
In the third place match the Owls faced Gordon College winning
3-1 (26-30, 30-27, 30-20, 30-20). Brittany O'Bryant had a big
game with 20 kills, 17 digs, and 1 block. Kelly Yankowski
contributed 11 kills, 25 assists, and 15 digs.
Keene tied the record for 2nd most wins in a season (18).
The record for most wins in a season is at 18 set in 1983.
Keene will host Green Mountain College on Wednesday, October 11
at 6:30.
