'KEENE, N.H. 11/4/06 - Keene State men's and women's
swim/dive teams posted dual meets wins over Colby-Sawyer College at
Spaulding Gym Pool on Saturday.
The Owl women, who lost to CSC last season, came back to win 16
out of 16 events to win 197-97.
The KSC men also dominated the meet, winning 14 of 16 events and
recording a 162-119 victory.
Freshman Kristine Trutor (Holden, Mass.) led the KSC women with
wins in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.42), 200 backstroke
(2:20.08), and 100 butterfly (1:03.51). Senior Kaitlin Pryor
(Jaffrey, N.H.) swam to wins in the 200 freestyle (2:02.04), 200
butterfly (2:22.00), and 100 freestyle (56.03). Freshman Alea
Paddock (Newbury, N.H.) posted victories in the 100 breastroke
(1:12.01) and the 50 freestyle (27.05) and freshman Chelsea
Peruccio (Glastonbury, Conn.) won both one-meter (199.15 points)
and three-meter (200.50 points) events.
Senior Kyle Uricchio (Enfield, Conn.) led the Owl men with wins
in the 1,000 freestyle (10:31.70), 200 butterfly (2:09.61), and 500
freestyle (5:06.87). Freshman sprinter Cody Larrimore
(Trappe, MD) prevailed in the 50 freestyle (22.48) and 100
freestyle (49.90) races, and freshman Ted Raczka (Middletown,
Conn.) topped the field in the 100 backstroke (1:01.52) and 200
backstroke (2:13.38) races.
The Owls swim against Norwich University next Saturday (1 p.m.).
