KEENE, N.H. – Sophomores
Caiden Cox and
Carter Beauchesne combined to set three meet records as the Keene State College swimming and diving program capped off a memorable weekend that included a Hall of Fame induction for Ryan Boraski '17 with an Alumni Meet that saw White down Red 149-127 at the Spaulding Pool on Saturday.
Cox and Beauchesne combined to break two previous records held by Aaron Turgeon, with Cox setting new marks at the event in the 100 IM and Beauchesne in the 200 freestyle. Cox also broke his own 50 breaststroke record set in 2025.
The Alumni Meet essentially marks the beginning of a new season more officially, with the Owls hosting a sprint pentathlon next Saturday (October 10) and St. Michael's College (October 17) in the season's first dual meet in two weeks.
This year, however, it also marked the continuation of a special weekend for the program, who saw Ryan Boraski '17 – one of the most decorated swimmers the school has ever seen – into the Keene State Athletics/Alumni Hall of Fame at Friday night's ceremony in the Mabel Brown Room. A multiple-time All-American, Boraski still holds a whopping seven school records, a continual benchmark for the program – and remains the only Owl to ever qualify for the Olympic trials while also missing out by only hundredths of a second to become an individual NCAA champion while wearing a KSC uniform.
"This was a very special alumni weekend for us," said head coach
Chris Woolridge. "Last night with Ryan's induction and today we had a great turnout at our alumni meet."
"I love having the current team see the alumni come back," he said. "It really shows how deep the connection is to the team and their teammates. This was a great weekend!"
