'KEENE, N.H. 09/27/06 - Senior midfielder Amanda Rosenbeck
(Wilder, Vt.) netted two goals and added an assist to lead Keene
State College to a 5-0 shutout victory over rival Plymouth State
University in Little East Conference field hockey action at Owl
Athletic Complex on Wednesday.
The Owls jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead on goals by Amy
Dubois (Jefferson, N.H.). Steph Georgevits (Concord, N.H.),
and Rosenbeck. Alyssa Rowell (Queensbury, NY) and Rosenbeck added
second half goals. Rosenbeck's two goals give her a team-leading
eight on the season.
Sara Joyce (Hampstead, NH) finished with 10 saves to notch her
fourth shutout of the season. Katie Randall (Portsmouth, N.H.) and
Leah Curtin (Londonderry, N.H.) made one save each in the Panther
goal.
At halftime, Keene State field Coach Amy Watson (Hanover, N.H.)
was honored for reaching her 200th career victory earlier this
season against Framingham State.
Both teams return to action on Saturday, the Owls (6-3., 4-0
LEC) will play at Eastern Connecticut State while PSU (3-4, 1-3
LEC) travel to Western Conn.
