'PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Sophomore Michele Boudreau (Readsboro, Vt.)
drained five of seven shots from three-point range and finished
with a game-high 19 points Tuesday evening as Keene State College
dumped Plymouth State University, 80-59, in a Little East
Conference women's basketball game at Foley Gymnasium.
Boudreau was one of three Owls to score in double figures.
Senior Bri Barnes (Merrimack, N.H.) canned six of nine from the
floor, including a pair of three-pointers, and finished with 16
points, while classmate Sarah Begnoche (Millville, Mass.) added 13
points on 5-for-8 shooting.
Keene State defeated Plymouth State for the fifth straight time,
improving to 13-5 overall and 6-2 in Little East play. PSU
struggled to its sixth straight loss and fell to 4-13 overall and
1-7 in the LEC.
Junior Lauren Daniels (Concord, N.H.) was the high scorer for
Plymouth State with nine points, while seniors Kaitlyn Linehan
(South Boston, Mass.) and Ashley White (Merrimack, N.H.) added
eight and seven points, respectively. Fourteen of the 16
Panthers got into the scoring column.
It was a one-point Keene State lead (11-10) with 12 minutes to
play in the first half when the Owls rattled off 16 straight points
over the next eight minutes. PSU regrouped and got the margin
down to 11 points (33-22) at the intermission.
KSC scored the first 10 points of the second half to push the
lead over 20 points, and PSU didn't threaten the rest of the way.
Plymouth State is home again on Thursday for a non-conference
game against Newbury College (6:00 p.m. at Foley Gymnasium).
Keene State also plays a non-conference game on Thursday, visiting
Middlebury (7:00 p.m.)
