KEENE, N.H. 10/23/07 - The Keene State College women's
volleyball team wrapped up it home regular season schedule with a
3-0 non-conference victory over Worcester State College at
Spaulding Gym on Tuesday night.
Extending its winning streak to four matches, Keene State
(20-10) posted its second straight 20-win or better
season.
The game scores were 30-18, 30-11, and 30-19.
KSC Coach Bob Weiner used all of his 16 players in the
match. Junior middle blocker Brittany O'Bryant (Merrimack,
N.H.) had eight kills and four block and sophomore hitter Carly
Newton (Centerville, Mass.) had nine kills in 10 attempts.
Defensively, freshman libero Jamie Levine (Medfield, Mass.) had
20 digs and sophomore setter Jordan Pokryfki (Wasila, AK.) finished
with 26 assists.
Sophomore hitter Lauren Saylor (Swansea, Mass.) had four kills
and eight assists for Worcester State (10-17). Freshman
middle blocker Angel Clarke (Shrewsbury, Mass.) added four solo and
four block assists, and sophomore libero Brianne Cobb (New Bedford,
Mass.) finished with five digs.
Keene State and Worcester State will be at the Bridgewater State
Halloween Classic this weekend.
