Box Score KEENE, N.H. 10/24/07 - Four different players found the back of
the net in Keene State's 4-0 non-conference field hockey victory
over Castleton State at Owl Athletic Complex on Wednesday night.
Alyssa Rowell (Queensbury, N.Y.) and Carly Benning (Brewster,
Mass.) netted first half goals and Karen Robinson (Phillipston,
Mass.) and Megan Moran (Derry, N.H.) scored second half goals for
KSC.
Erin Dallas (Marlow, N.H.) had an assists to add to her NCAA
(Division III) and LEC leading total of 18.
Keene State's first goal came on a corner play at the 11:27
mark. Dallas fed Rowell who beat Spartan goalie Trisha Clark
(East Dover, Vt.) with a shot to the far corner of the net.
With six minutes to go in the half, Benning scored on her own
rebound to give KSC a 2-0 lead It was the team leading 10th goal of
the season for the sophomore forward.
Robinson gave KSC a 3-0 with her eighth goal of the season early in
the second half. Moran added a goal later in the half to
complete the scoring.
Vikki Stoessel (Derry, N.H.) turned aside two shots to notch her
second shutout of the season.
Clark finished the game with nine saves for the Spartans (11-5).
Keene State (14-5), which extended its winning streak to five
games, wraps up its regular season with a home game against
UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday.
