Box Score KEENE, N.H. 10/27/07 - The Keene State College field hockey team
celebrated senior day with a 6-0 Little East Conference shutout
victory over UMass-Dartmouth at Owl Athletic Complex on
Saturday.
Two seniors, midfielder Amy Dubois (Jefferson, N.H.) and forward
Meghan Moran (Derry, N.H.) scored for the Owls along with Carly
Benning (Brewster, Mass.), Erin Dallas (Marlow, N.H.), Karen
Robinson (Phillipston, Mass.), and Elizabeth Rand (Peterborough,
N.H.). Dallas also picked up an assist to add to her NCAA (Division
III) leading total of 19 helpers.
Keene State scored two goals in the first half and added four
more in the second.
Senior goalie Jennifer McDougall (Derry, N.H.) started in goal
for KSC and finished with one save. She shared the shutout
with Vikki Stoessel (Derry, N.H.), and freshman Meghan Ledoux
(Standish, Me.).
Keene State (15-5, 10-1), the top seed in the LEC tournament,
will host a first-round game on Tuesday against eighth-seeded
Worcester State (6 p.m.).
KSC finished the regular season with a six game winning
streak. The Owls outscored opponents 26-2 in that span.
KSC seniors captain Marrissa Boccaccio (Lyme, Conn.) and Kat
Trimmer (Hanover, N.H.) were also honored prior to the game.
Liz Fitzgerald stopped 19 shots for the Corsairs (5-12, 3-8
LEC).
KSC defeated UMD 2-1 in last year's LEC championship game.
