NORTHAMPTON, MASS. 12/08/07 - Keene State men and women track
teams combined to win 11 events at the Smith College Invitational
in Northampton, Mass. on Saturday.
Sophomore Frank Radlof (Milford,N.H.) had a big day in field
events, setting a school record in the long jump (22'-04.25) and
winning the high jump (6'-03.00).
Junior Peter Najem (Derry, N.H.) placed first in the 600-meter
(1:24.86) and the 1,000 (2:44.35). Senior Kevin Kelleher (Rocky
Hill, Conn.) won the mile (4:23.15), and freshman Craig MacPherson
(Derry, N.H.) won the 3,000 (8:40.03).
Senior Laura Kintz (Jaffrey, N.H.) won the 55 dash (7.52) and the
200 dash (27.45) to lead the Owl women. She also joined
Katelynn Carr (Scituate, Mass.), Alyssa Carey (So. Glens Falls,
N.Y.) and Kimber Stannard (Higganum, Conn.) to win the 4x400 relay
(4:24.39).
Other first place performances were turned in by Nicole Slane
(Milford, N.H.) in the mile (5:21.48) and Samantha Hirsh
(Holliston, Mass.) in the shot put event (36'-02.00").
