'KEENE, N.H. 2/4/07 - Keene State College men's and women's
swimming teams concluded their dual meet seasons with victories
over Gordon College in Wenham, Mass. on Saturday.
The KSC women won 12of 14 events in their 151-76 victory. They
finish with a perfect 9-0 dual meet record. They join the
1998-99 team (19-0) as the only undefeated Owl teams in Division
III. The Owl men swept all 14 races in their 134-42 win. They
finish their dual meet campaign with a 4-3 mark.
KSC senior Katlin Pryor (Jaffrey, N.H.) completed her dual meet
career by breaking her record in the 400 IM (4:48.54). She
set the previous record (4:50.20) as a freshman. Pryor also
won the 100 back (1:09.78), and 50 fly (29.54). Pryor owns six
individual Owl records.
Kelly Yankowski (Turners Falls, Mass.) and Alea Paddock
(Newbury, N.H.) were double winners for the Owls. Yankowski won the
50 back (30.03) and the 100 I.M. (1:05.76) and Paddock swam to wins
in the 50 breast (33.10) and the 500 free (5:38.47).
Other winners for the Owls included Megan Flynn (Farmington,
Conn.) in the 100 fly (1:08.77), Kristine Trutor (Holden, Mass.) in
the 50 free (26.91), and Kelly Widman (Middlebury, Conn.) in the
100 free (57.08).
Freshmen Cody Larrimore (Trappe, Md.) and Domingo Rose (Nashua,
N.H.) won three races each. Larrimore won the 100 fly (57.21), 50
fly (25.99), and the 100 IM (1:00.73) while Rose prevailed in the
50 breast (29.09), 50 free (24.45), and the 100 breast
(1:06.53). Kyle Uricchio (Enfield, Conn.) won the 200 free
(1:54.60) and the 50 back (30.57).
Other winners included Mike Fedele (Sandwich, Mass.) in the 400
IM (4:33.36), Adam Van Brandenburg (Tenafly, N.J.) in the 100 free
(52.73), and Ryan Handren (Brewster, Mass) in the 100 back
(1:00.08), and Ian MacAskill (Londonderry, N.H.) in the 500 free
(5:25.91).
Keene State competes at the New England Division II-III
championship on Feb. 16-19 at the University of New Hampshire.
