SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Keene State field hockey team overcame
an early one goal deficit to post a 4-1 non-conference victory over
Western New England College on Tuesday night.
Kat Trimmer (Hanover, N.H.) led the Owls with a goal and two
assists.
Trailing 1-0, KSC tied the game at the 21:10 mark on a goal by
freshman Chelsea Blackmer (Boylston, Mass.). Trimmer had an assist
on the goal.
KSC scored three unanswered goals in the second half.
Trimmer scored the go-ahead goal at the 46:10 mark with an assist
to Erin Dallas). Amy Dolce (Windham, N.H.) and Marissa
Boccaccio (Lyme, Conn.) added insurance goals later in the half.
Senior Jennifer McDougall (Avon, CT) had one save for the Owls.
Freshman Meghan Ledoux (Standish, Me.) played the final six minutes
in goal.
Keene State had a 17-3 advantage in shots and 8-3 edge in penalty
corners.
Keene State is at Framingham State on Saturday.
