NEW LONDON, N.H. 9/18/07 - The Keene State College women's volleyball gave undefeated Colby-Sawyer all it could handle before dropping a tough five game non-conference match to the host Chargers in New London, N.H. on Tuesday.

After losing the first game 30-25, the Owls (7-6) came back to win the next two games 30-24 and 30-28.  Colby-Sawyer (11-0) took the fourth game 30-23 and the dicing fifth game 15-8.

Brittany O'Bryant (Merrimack, N.H.) led the Owls with 16 kills and three blocks. Kelly Yankowski (Turners Falls, Mass.) had a fine overall match with 13 kills, 16 digs, two blocks, and two service aces.  Sarah Peterson (Danville, N.H.) added 21 digs and setter Jordan Pokryfki (Wasilla, AK) finished with 44 assists.

Keene State is at Rivier College on Thursday.
