CAMBRIDGE, MASS. 12/13/08 - Sophomore Amy Knoblock (Plymouth,
Mass.) had the top finish by the KSC women at Saturday's Harvard
Open track meet. She placed fourth in the 800 with a time of
2:22.28.
Gretchen Galvin was fourth in the weight throw (10.57m).
Sophomore Craig MacPherson (Derry, N.H.) won the 5,000-meter
race to lead the KSC men's team. MacPherson, who earned
All-American honors last season in the mile, posted a wining time
of 14:49.65 in the 5,000.
In other races sophomore Jeff Threthewey (Merrimack, N.H.)
placed third in the mile (4:20.33), senior Patrick Craven (North
Kingstown, N.H.) was fourth in the 800 (1:57.84) and junior Jared
Samuel (Londonderry, N.H.) and senior Sean Gavaghan (Monroe, Conn.)
finished fifth (8:43.82) and sixth (8:49.57) respectively in the
3,000 race.
In field events, sophomore Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.) placed
fifth in the weight throw (16.42m) and seventh in the shotput
(12.96m).
