EAST MEADOW, N.Y. 12/6/08 - The Keene State men's swim team
finds itself in sixth place with 230 points following two days of
competition at the ECAC Division III Winter Championship.
SUNY-Geneseo has a commanding lead with 678 points.
The Owls have broken five school records at the
championship. Sophomore Dan Theleen
(Southbury, Conn.) placed third in the 1,650 free with a record
time of 16:25.99. Sophomore Connor Pennoyer
(Norwalk, Conn.) also set a record (1:59.92) with his fourth place
finish in the 200 fly. Junior Domingo Rose
(Nashua, N.H.) also put his name in the Owl record book with his
third place finish (2:12.01) in the 200 breast.
Sophomore Dan Morse (Hope, R.I.), Lucas
Pozzetta (Merrimack, N.H.) and Karl
Balinski (Waterford, Conn.) and Theleen also set a new Owl
mark (7:07.88) with their third place finish in the 800 free relay.
Freshman Patrick Rogers (Wayland, Mass.) set an
Owl record with his second place finish in the three-meter diving
event with 380.85 points. KSC's Tim Thornton
(Fairfield, Conn.) placed fourth with 343.55 points.
The meet concludes on Sunday.
