NORTHAMPTON, MASS. 2/9/08 - Senior Krystin Gavin (Brimfield, Mass.) won the high jump event (5'-02.25") and sophomore Katelyn Carr (Scituate, Mass.) took first in the 600-meter race at the Smith College Tartan Invitational Track Meet held Saturday in Northampton, Mass.

In other women's races, sophomore Rita Marcotte (Heath, Mass.) and Carr were second (3:13.68) and third (3:14.79) respectively in the 1,000 race. Senior Shaylin Deignan (Londonderry, N.H.) took third in the 55-dash (7.83). In field events, sophomore Kaley Griffin (Manchester, N.H.) was second in the long jump (15'-06.25") and freshman Bryanna Brown (Nashua, N.H.) placed second in the shotput (38'-04.00").

The Keene State women finished third with 85 points. RPI won the title in the 17-team field with 154.50 points.

KSC men finished ninth at the meet with 36 points. RPI took the men's title with 194 points.

The top performances by the Owls were turned in by freshman Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.) who placed second in the weight throw (47'-10.50") and sophomore Brian Anderson (Pembroke, N.H.) who finished third in the mile (4:37.55).
